MAGIX Vegas Pro Edit 15 is laggy and horrible to use. Even this simple video was agonizing to make. Movie Studio Platinum is much more efficient and doesn't lag out my entire computer on projects of even greater scale than this. Please excuse any editing or timing blunders on the fact that this software is insufferable and made the editing process take much longer than it needed to. I'm gonna just switch to Vegas Pro 14 from the humble bundle and see how that goes...

This episode has crazy audio sync issues. Why didnt we fix it? AkBKukU explains below (if youre curious):
I was trying to reduce the screen flicker from the CRT as some people were reporting the video was uncomfortable or painful to watch, so I recorded any clip that had a CRT taking up the whole screen at 30fps to reduce flicker on the final video.
This is the result of the true fix for the 30fps video clips. These are the same shots encoded at different framerates. I had spent some time looking at some of my other projects and some of the video files and I learned a couple things:
- My camera records in 59.94fps not 60fps
- My camera also records in 29.97fps not 30fps
- All of my other videos were correctly set at 59.94fps for the project. (I probably knew the true framerates before but forgot them)
- I had converted the 29.97fps CRT clips into actual 60fps so there was a ~1% difference in speed between those and the native 59.94fps shots.
So taking all that into account, I took the original 29.97fps shot of the CD falling out and re-encoded it to 59.94fps. low and behold, there were no audio sync issues. So now I know in the future I can do mixed framerates. I just have to convert them correctly.

Unfortunately, this changes the number of frames in the video files. I believe that means I cant just swap out the source files in the edited video to fix it. Id have to re-edit all the 30fps parts again. Additionally, I would still have to re-encode all of the shots into 59.94fps. All 13GB of it.
There just isnt enough time to do hours of editing and re-encoding since there are other things I need to do. Hope you guys can still enjoy it.")
