It only took an afternoon of grinding!
This is the first time Im going for the highest difficulty in an Ys game but I dont regret it. I knew it was going to be hard in the early game but then the battles would get more normal later on as you become more and more overpowered (thats why I regretted not going for an even higher difficulty in Ys IX). The early game of Ys X in Inferno went well, I had a few boss battles that lasted 10 minutes and they were so epic and rewarding. This Belladonna boss and its difficulty spike made me pause to grind, mainly mastering all the skills, but also EXP and ingredients for more Dark Mana Seeds at the same time. Those greatly boosted my offensive stats! The battle then was a breeze compared to my first attempts. Now after this, the game got much easier, Im only at chapter 5 but I already feel overpowered. Playing on Inferno was definitely the right call!
Im loving the game so much, such a joy to play a new one from Nihon Falcom (my second favorite studio), its filled with the tender moments between the crew and the wholesomeness that I adore so much from them. Also the theme of the sea is special for me ever since I played Atelier Totori, and Ys X feels very much like Atelier Totori but Action-RPG, with the sea exploration on a ship, all those islands, the Alanya-like harbor towns, etc, Im jubilating.")
