The miniboss at the City in the Sky is a flying dinolfos that uses a spear to fight. His shield, however, is clearly a clawshot target; wait until he raises his shield and prepares to charge at you, and clawshot his shield. This will bring him to the ground for attacking. Rinse and repeat; it's pretty easy.
After beating him, you get the Double Clawshots!

Pretty much one of the best boss themes ever, hands down.
Inside the Barren Temple, the party is trying to locate the prince of Facade - a strange city in the desert that is governed by thousands of rules. The king has died from the black scrawl already, so the prince is needed for leadership; however, he has gone missing inside the Barren Temple and the only ones who are allowed to save him are the party. The boss guarding him turns out to be a large magical being made completely of regenerating cubes that can shoot magic blasts in all directions. After the boss is defeated, the prince is set free, and proceeds to immediately make a direct reference to Zelda.")
