One of Joe Hisaishi's masterpieces, Legend of Ashitaka from the 1997 Studio Ghibli Miyazaki film Princess Mononoke, arranged for piano 4-hands by Scott Meek, video editing by Clare Yuan, and performed by The Meeks Duo. This is dedicated to our longtime friend and supporter and talented pianist, Mad Piano Life, who told us this is his all time favorite Ghibli track. This arrangement is based on the orchestral soundtrack version. I tried to recreate is as faithfully as possible, adding notes only to emulate the thick orchestral texture (such as at 3:40 or 4:10 or 4:43). We look forward to performing this piece live sometime soon!
