Saves about 10 seconds, given both routes are taken without bunnyhops. Obviously you can get a lot more use out of bunnyhops with this strat and route, though. For use when you manage to pick up a throwable item. There are two possible spawns in the open van at the start and a couple near the fire pit, too.
If you take too long to idle the other character will be too far away and you teleport back to the start and stay there (when it works, it puts you at the start and then to the other player). If your movement is sloppy during this, it's better to switch to expert and kill yourself with the gas cans surrounding the pool. The other player falls onto the second level without any railing a bit to the right of them, or could even slide into the upper railing right in front of them, though the latter makes the timing on your part significantly more difficult and maybe even impossible. Don't go down the big slope the way I did in this video. It's slow.
The command to go idle without having to open the escape menu is "go_away_from_keyboard"
