Thank you for watching this video! My name is Jun Areia and I'm an artist developer and producer based in Seoul, South Korea since 2009. Through Areia Remix, I attempt to offer re-imagined EDM versions of your favorite K-pop songs and share my love for the Korean culture to the world!

⭐ Backstory of this remix:
In the "far" 1999, before the billion dollar globally famous K-pop groups and conglomerate funded entertainment corporations, when music wasn't made to trigger the algorithm of social media but rather on pure instinct and inspiration, K-pop was full of experimental music from a variety of creators and genres. And then there was Lee Jung Hyun's "Wa". A song that powerful and successful that shaped a whole generation in Korea and laid the fundamentals for what will come in the next decade and eventually the Korean wave. Back in 2011-12, I was extremely lucky to have worked for a year under Choi Joon-young, the producer and songwriter of this legendary song and many other top hits of the era. This was a life defining experience for me, and under his direction, I was able to gain a deep understanding about everything involving artist development and production. From the mentality that goes behind creating and working with artists, to the production pipeline, I could experience and learn the "secret" recipe of K-pop production. Today, with full respect to this sacred song, I present its remix as a tribute to Choi Joon-young for shaping me into the person I am today.
