Seems this floodlight doesn't like high voltage as it refuses to turn fully off, even during broad daylight no matter what setting I have the lux level or standing dimming dial set to.

Works fine when fed up to about 248v but then complains when fed my mains voltage which can be as high as 252 during the night and weekends!
