Easy and about the same speed as pokey escape. Line up with that black spot, pull out the chu, hold up on the control stick and z, then press R to climb then let go of the control stick as he is climbing. To navigate to the exit, I sidehop left 3 times, then backwalk a bit then sidehop left 7 times, then just backwalk to exit. This may be helpful to some N64 players who need to escape without the sword.
