Affordable way to add LED TV backlight (TV accent lighting) to the back of any flat panel television. In this video I will use a generic set of LED strip lights to mount to the back of my Vizio E-Series 4K TV. Once installed, I will be installing a GE In Wall Zwave Smart Outlet (GE 12721). Using this outlet will allow me to connect the LED accent lights to my Wink Hub through my Wink App. This will allow me to voice control an affordable LED strip with my Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa). At this point I will have full smart home control. While a backlit TV is not a necessity for your home automation setup, accent lighting can be addicting.
