In this video:
We have what I thought would be some fairly straight forward repairs. However, the Metronome ended up being a bit of a nightmare. Lot of corrosion due to bad batteries that remained inside the device for way too long. I think a lot of people would just throw the device in the bin. However, that is not what we do on this channel. We get to see several methodologies for corrosion removal. We also get to see LCD signal tracing on an oscilloscope and some rather unorthodox methods to restore carbon pads and bad termination points on a passive LCD display. Culminating in a devise that still has arguable usability. Hopefully you find this video entertaining. Apologies for the length of the video. However, I felt it was best to fully represent the troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs I performed. These could have applicability with other devices that have similar issues and not necessarily the device of this video.
