In April of 2026 I gave a lecture about The Lookout's particular 'No-Bullshit' flavor of science communication, using the example topic, 'The Pyrogeography of Northern California' for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of California, Berkeley. We also talked about local examples of the topic, with a discussion of new 'Zone Zero' landscaping-related wildfire regulations being implemented in the Berkeley Hills.
