Teresa Villa-Ignacio is Postdoctoral Fellow in English and Visiting Scholar in French at Tulane University. Her research explores intersections among the fields of twentieth-and twenty-first-century French, Francophone, and U.S. American poetry and poetics, ethics, translation studies, media studies, postcolonial studies, multiculturalism, and globalization. She is completing a book manuscript entitled³Poethical Import: Translationships in French-American Poetic Exchange,² which examines the centrality of ethics in relations of translation and collaboration among France-and U.S.-based contemporary poets. She is also the producer of a related podcast series, Sounding Translation, which features interviews with poet-translators, and co-editor of Souffles-Anfas: A Critical Anthology from the Moroccan Journal of Culture and Politics(Stanford University Press, 2016).
