I then engage in a lengthy discussion of the pharmacokinetics of alcohol with a special note on Caffeine & Alcohol and discussion of gender differences in alcohol metabolism. Finally they physiological and behavioral effects of alcohol use are discussed with some discussion of how alcohol reduces anxiety and may be used as a way of self-medicating anxiety disorders.
