Join me on my Lithuania travel day as I make my way home to the UK after a great time in Vilnius, using trains, buses and a Ryanair flight via Kaunas.
In this video, I start the journey by walking through Vilnius towards Vilnius Train Station. Once there, I pick up some food from a local shop before spending time in the Vilnius Train Station VIP Lounge.
I then leave Vilnius on a festive Christmas-themed train to Kaunas, travelling first class and taking a final look at Lithuanian rail travel and stations along the way. The train journey takes 1 hour and 19 minutes.
From Kaunas, I catch a direct bus (number 29) to Kaunas Airport, which costs just €1, making it a cheap and easy connection.
I then spend some time at Kaunas Airport, where — despite it only being 6pm — many of the facilities are already closed.
The journey finishes with a Ryanair flight from Kaunas to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which takes just under three hours, bringing this Lithuanian trip to an end.
