This is a ship that I have grown continually more and more fond of. I think these two girlies would get along swell. Ferncloud is soft and gentle yet will fiercefully defend those she loves. Squirrelflight is loud and sassy in contrast but still has a soft center for her loved ones. They would balance each other out and be an unstoppable force.
In this AU Ferncloud is falling out of love with Dustpelt while Squirrelflight deals with Brambleclaw's anger issues and inconsistencies. Ferncloud feels drawn to Squirrelflight's fire and wishes that they could be together instead. She hopes Squirrelflight will leave her lover... but she struggles to leave her own as well. (Plus, Ferncloud figures out the truth about the kits)
