THE RUBBISH SELLOUT - PART 1: There comes a point where you start thinking you're a little more famous than you are. So, for my latest film tour around Australia and New Zealand I booked some shockingly big theatres. Then regretted it. As I festered I cooked up an idea; for every ticket sold, I'll pick up a piece of rubbish. It's partly a give-back to the people spending their time and money on my films, and partly marketing. And yes, it’s also an excuse to spend time wandering the roadsides, cleaning up after the filthy habits of others, and finding cool stuff. I’ve never thought I loved picking up rubbish, but I gotta say- when I’m doing it, there’s often no place I’d rather be. At least, that’s what I think now, clean handed, typing on a computer. Righto, time to hit the road…
