Evelyn Hirt is a project manager with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Her professional experiences bridge the industrial, government, academic, and consulting communities. Evelyn’s career has focused on the expert delivery of technology-based solutions to customer and stakeholder needs that include both the creation and execution of corporate strategies for existing and new markets. Her main areas of technical focus are system and controls engineering.
Throughout her career she has advanced from the engineering ranks into risk-based project, program and team management. This has included functioning as an engineer-researcher, quality professional, line manager, project manager and consultant/advisor. She is also respected as a mentor of technical staff, including being named the 2021 Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Haraden Pratt Award for her long-time dedication to volunteerism and mentoring.
