Nothing makes an edit feel amateur faster than audio that cuts abruptly. In this Final Cut Pro tutorial I'll show you how to create a J-cut by detaching your audio and extending it so it starts before the picture does, which is the single easiest way to make a cut feel intentional. Then adding and shaping audio fades so nothing ever drops off a cliff, and using the crossfade shortcut to blend two clips together quickly.
