You have undoubtedly experienced synthesis education that is made up of a lot of terminology, definitions, and descriptions of function. These sorts of situations are basically like... well, reading the manual. Boring, dry, complicated, challenging to understand, not fun, and ultimately... as a result... not helpful.
But you've also probably experienced my synthesizer demonstrations. While they're usually focused on demonstrating the sound and the functionality of the instrument, they also include a lot of fun history, interesting facts, and basic synthesis education within the context of the synthesizer in question. My educational style is... well, educational. There is a substantial difference between someone listing facts on the Internet, and someone who is an actual educator.
This is why I have added a second Patreon account. Of course, there's the first one, where you can see synthesizer demonstration videos before the general public does, and help me make them through support. But now, there is another one: Automatic Gainsay: The Wavewrights.
"The Wavewrights" was a substantial comprehensive synthesizer education course I created to teach synthesis, synthesizer function, and synthesizer application through the context of history, innovators, culture, and music. Unlike most synthesizer education, it is fascinating, filled with amazing and uncommon facts, and connected to the human, artistic, cultural, and historical aspects instead of just dry information.
I have applied The Wavewrights and a shorter version called "Practical Synthesis" to this new Patreon subscription.
