Learn How to Draw a Guitar! Guest artist Richard shows you how to draw a simple guitar from both the front perspective and at an angle. Use a ruler to help make straight lines.
For the front view, draw the body of the guitar by making a gourd shape. Draw a circle for the hole and two small rectangles in the middle for where the strings will attach. Next draw the neck--make sure to taper it a little bit towards the top. Draw a trapezoid on top of the neck of the guitar, and add little circles for where the strings attach.
Use the same shapes and distort them a little as shown by Richard to make the guitar appear to lay on it's side at an angle. Outline your pencil lines with a pen or sharpie marker (white out pen can be used to fix mistakes). Embellish your guitar with flames, hearts, flowers, rainbows, or whatever you choose!
