Learn how to calculate the cutting length of helical stirrups for a circular pile with a complete step-by-step calculation.

Given Data:

Pile Diameter = 1.2 m
Pile Length = 12 m
Clear Cover = 50 mm each side
Helical Pitch = 150 mm
Standard Bar Length = 12 m
Number of Turns = L/P + 2 = 82 Nos.
Extra 2 turns are considered for a full circle at the start and end.

Calculation Includes:

✅ Helical stirrup diameter = 1.10 m
✅ Circumference of helix
✅ Length of helical bar using n√(C² + P²)
✅ Number of turns = 82 Nos.
✅ Standard 12 m bar length
✅ Number of laps
✅ Lap length calculation
✅ Final cutting length

Approx. Total Cutting Length = 298.05 m
