Have you heard of the type of poetry and literature known as “parody”? Not sure what it is exactly? In this class, I’ll explain what parody is by showing you an example of a poem that is a parody. This is where one writer takes an earlier, well-known piece of literature, and imitates it in a humorous way. So basically, it’s a literary joke! My example comes from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by the famous Victorian writer, Lewis Carroll. I hope you enjoy it!
