Leah Pruett's Friday at Bristol Dragway couldn't have gone much better.

Hours after completing her delayed NHRA New England Nationals victory, Pruett returned to the track and drove her Dodge//SRT Top Fuel dragster to the provisional No. 1 qualifying position at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals with a 3.794-second run at 332.43 mph.

Matt Hagan led Funny Car qualifying with a strong 4.009-second pass and praised Bristol's rebuilt racing surface, calling it a massive improvement over previous seasons. Jack Beckman and Spencer Hyde rounded out the top three.

In Pro Stock, six-time world champion Greg Anderson continued his remarkable 2026 season by securing the provisional No. 1 position as he chases his sixth top qualifier award in nine races.

Gaige Herrera paced Pro Stock Motorcycle, putting his Vance & Hines Suzuki on top as he looks to rebound from an early exit one race ago.
