A demo of the program I used to write my duet "Leaf Loops", for violin and viola. Here, the program traces an Ivy Leaf, while an inner point, representing a leaf miner, slowly winds its way through the center of the leaf. Pitches are determined by the length of the line from the leaf miner's location to the point on the outside of the leaf. Thus a looping pattern slowly morphs, creating a minimalist kind of process.
