MMus Opera alumna Lea Shaw dropped in to talk about our exciting new Advanced Artist Diploma in Opera, delivered in collaboration with Scottish Opera.
This new postgraduate programme gives students the opportunity to perform with Scotland's national opera company as the culmination of their studies.
Lea, from Colorado but now resident in Scotland, has been an Emerging Artist, an Associate Artist, and the Education Artist in Residence with Scottish Opera, and appears this season in its production of Ravel's L’heure espagnole.
UK applications are now closed, but international applications are open until 1 December 2026 and we will be holding auditions in the United States in January 2027, in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City.
