So then, the Le Mans 24 Virtual. What an event! First things first, I can't really imagine that anyone in the community would have had the sheer audacity to predict that RFactor 2 would be taking the place of the Circuit De La Sarthe in the middle of June. But, that's the situation we found ourselves in over the weekend. Not only that, but the race had the full support of ACO, the broadcasters, drivers and teams. Unthinkable!
As the race got under-way, I personally felt the gravity of the situation, and I'm not afraid to admit that I did get a bit misty eyed as the cars ran down to the Dunlop Chicane for the first time. For me, there was no doubt that we were experiencing sim racing reaching a new high water mark.
