So Ive been experimenting with a fun interaction between the new unleash support, spell cascade, and corpse explosion skills like Detonate Dead and Volatile Dead. Heres a quick proof of concept video.
Basically, it works like this:
Spell Cascade causes a single cast of an area-targeted spell to cast 3 times. Normally the 2 extra casts occur in front of and behind the original cast, with minimal overlap; however, with corpse explosion skills, the extra casts occur at the location of the targeted corpse, wherever that is. This means theres a much higher chance for spell cascade to cause overlapping AoEs with corpse explosion spells. Theres also a chance to hit corpses far away, even off-screen, if no closer corpses are available to target.
Unleash support allows you to store up to 3 charges of a spell and recasts the spell for each stored charge. So, at maximum charges, a single cast will trigger 4 spells (the original + 3 recasts).
When used together, each recast of the spell will also cascade. This essentially casts your spell 12 times with a single button press. Normally this isnt that useful, since Unleash and Spell Cascade both have less damage multipliers on them and the cascades have minimal overlap (except with recasts). However, since corpse explosions can overlap highly based on the location of the corpses used, this becomes very powerful.
Furthermore, Unleash support adds a slight delay between recasts. This delay gives enough time for the corpses of enemies who died to the first cast to be used up by the following recasts. The result is that the explosions will cause an Inpulsa-like chain reaction of explosions, even if there are fewer than 12 corpses on the ground to begin with.
Lastly, Detonate Dead has a helm enchantment that grants 45% chance for an additional explosion to occur. This seems to proc on every cascade and recast, meaning you will detonate around ~17-18 corpses on average.")

In Delve, I wanted to create a build centered around the new miner helmet, Curtain Call. Most people assumed this low level supporter unique was garbage, but turns out with the right build its pretty fuckin strong.
This helmet lets you place up to two additional mines at once if you have at least 500 intelligence and 500 dexterity, and also gives a nice boost to mine arming speed (which is normally only available from the Saboteur ascendancy). Placing two extra mines allows you to drop minefield support entirely, gaining an extra support gem and avoiding a 36% less damage mod and large mana multiplier on the normally mandatory minefield support. As a result, this helm ends up giving something like 80-100% more damage assuming you hit the stat breakpoints.
Getting 500 int and dex is pretty tough for most builds, and you lose out on a lot of potential damage and defense unless you specifically build around stat stacking. For this build, I utilize Hyrris Demise quiver, which adds a ton of flat elemental damage from stats, as well as Shapers Touch gloves, which gives us a fat chunk of life from our high Dex, all the accuracy we need from our high Int, and also gives a bunch of mana from our strength. Cyclopean Coil belt helps scale all our attributes, gives around 60% increased damage, and makes us immune to freeze and shock.
As a Scion Deadeye/Saboteur Ascendant we get +1 arrows and +2 pierce, 100% increased accuracy, blind on hit, no extra bleed damage while moving, up to 20% life regen from detonating mines, some elemental penetration, and a bunch of stats from our ascendancy. It also lets us make good use of the Pure Talent jewel for +25 all attributes and 7% increased movement speed. All of this is excellent for our build.
Overall, this build turned out to be WAY stronger than I ever expected. In fact, its easily the strongest build Ive ever played. With good gear (nothing even remotely mirror-tier required) it can reach 4-5 million shaper DPS while still having excellent clearspeed. So... actually not that garbage.")
