Lúcia Koch’s first exhibition with carlier | gebauer opened during the 2023 edition of Gallery Weekend Berlin. In 'Light Falls,' Koch’s immersive sculptural, photographic and installative works shift and reimagine the spaces they inhabit by proposing new relations of scale, occupation and materiality. At carlier | gebauer, the artist has created pieces that replicate the shape of the gallery’s windows into falling sculptures that unfold from the ceiling. On view are also the works from her Fundos series: luminous photographs of the interiors of empty boxes printed in outsized dimensions and adapted to the space, giving the impression of extending it.
