The earth is built in layers, and the main ones are three!
The first one is the core and it's as hot as can be!
A lot of it is liquid, all the experts agree!
And that's the lowest layer of the Earth!

The layer called the mantle is the next to explore!
It's rocky, but it's soft 'cause of heat from the core!
It's kind of like a liquid, but it's too thick to pour!
And that's the second layer of the Earth!

The crust is at the top!
And it's mainly solid rock!
But it's made of both separate plates!
They detach and get mostly,
They fit very closely!

Between the crust and mantle, molten magma can flow!
But how does it rise up, you may be eager to know?
Well, now it's time to introduce the star of our show!
To tell you how volcanoes come from deep down in the Earth!
