As you might now, I have been struggling a bit with getting my mojo back after a long period of disability and recovery after surgery. So I am trying new things and have been starting new projects to feel that passion again. This design is by my daughter Lola. She was wondering if I could take her mushroom drawing and turn it into a piece of wearable jewelry. I wanted to go big this time and decided on a layered brooche design. In this first part you can see how I complete the design, starting on paper, ending up with a silver piece in hand. The second and third part will become available on Patreon shortly. I will show you how to make the brooche closure in part two, and how to add flush set gemstones in part three.
