AU: After Blair loses Yale she goes to a bar and gets drunk. Serena finds her and tries to help her but Blair just brushes her off and she leaves. When Serena leaves Carter finds Blair and, due to mysterious circumstances, Blair dies. Serena is the first to learn of Blair's death and is the one to tell Chuck. Chuck blames Serena for not taking care of Blair and lashes out at her during the funeral.
Chuck is haunted by Blair's ghost. Sometime later he realizes that he forgives Serena and they form a tentative friendship. Chuck begins to have feelings for Serena, but he isn't sure if he really cares for her or if its because he feels closer to Blair when he is with her. Either way, Serena realizes she shares his feelings but is still guilty about the part she played in Blair's death and her new feelings just worsen her guilt. She begins to go crazy with drinking and partying. She calls Chuck for help and he takes care of her. However Serena just keeps hurting herself and eventually Chuck cannot take it anymore, calling her a "trainwreck" and making her runaway. Serena gets really really drunk and gets hit by a car and dies. Chuck is now haunted by both girls who he couldn't help.
