Lavendine, the musical duo of sisters Jacy and Jana Ayers, has gained recognition in the contemporary music scene with heartfelt songs reflecting their journey. Their singles “Rapture,” “Open Up a Window,” and “Here to You” reached the Top 25 on America’s Mediabase and Billboard AC charts. Their 2022 single, “Finding My Way Home,” produced by Ed Seay and mixed by Mark Needham, evolved from a ballad to an EDM-inspired hit, returning them to the AC Top 25 and gaining major radio attention.
Originally from Kansas and Oklahoma, the sisters moved to Nashville to pursue music but faced early industry challenges. After a brief return to Oklahoma, they rekindled their music career, despite personal health struggles. Jana overcame hearing loss due to a tumor, and Jacy endured multiple surgeries. Their resilience led them to work with producer Danny Duncan, rediscovering their artistic vision.
Inspired by a vivid dream, their upcoming EP Deep Blue represents their most authentic work yet. Featuring top session musicians, the EP was produced by Mark Needham, Ed Seay, and Brian Pruitt. The lead single, “City Lights,” combines vintage rock with themes of homecoming, while tracks like “Waterless Cloud” and “Diamonds in the Sky” explore hope and empowerment.
