Porcellio scaber cf. forma lusitanus ‘Lava’ is my favorite locality of Porcellio scaber! Let’s see this isopod up close with a macro lens. The “scaber” in Porcellio scaber means “rough”, and you can see that in these shots, in addition to the bold contrast between the red-orange and the dark gray, almost black color of this beautiful isopod locality.
