Established at UCLA Extension in 2005 by the Hummel family to honor Mrs. Laurel Hummel, who created the first International Student Office at UCLA Extension in the 1970s, the scholarships seek to foster multicultural perspectives in the classroom reflecting today’s global society. Every quarter, the committee awards three scholarships valuing $1,650 for each recipient. Scholarship funds may only be applied to offset course fees at UCLA Extension and must be used within two years of award notification. Learn more at ucla.in/3dOemzW
