This is a brand-new, unreleased version of a song I wrote 15 years ago and performed “live” for this year’s Mark Wood Rock Orchestra Camp and Music Festival. The backing track is actually the writing demo (because we couldn’t find the stems for the album recording) but I really like it... I have a tendency to go “dark” sometimes and get stuck in emotional places that I have trouble getting out of. It’s like watching the clouds gather and knowing there’s light on the other side but I just can’t see it or get to it. Writing this song, SINGING this song, performing this song, ALWAYS helps me move those clouds and see the light.
