Happy Year of the Snake! A big thank you to Charlottesville's Laughing Dragon Kung Fu for helping PVCC celebrate the Lunar New Year and bring attendees good luck, prosperity and joy. Just what everyone needs for the beginning of a semester. In case you missed it, here are a few snippets from the show.
Also, what's with the lettuce? A choy cheng is a special part of a lion dance where performers use the mouths of the lion to “eat” a head of lettuce (symbolizing good fortune) and spit it out to spread wealth to the audience.
