![Explained: Rare trio of particles observed for first time [CC]
The ATLAS Collaboration at CERN has announced the first observation of âWWW productionâ: the simultaneous creation of three massive W bosons in high-energy LHC collisions. In this video, ATLAS Physicists Vallary Bhopatkar (Argonne National Lab) and Muhammad Alhroob (University of Oklahoma) explain why this result is so interesting â and describe what physicists can still learn about the W boson, 40 years after its discovery.
