This is a drastic theme difference than last year's Christmas video*, but I'm okay with that because this is my favorite Christmas song, and I don't really have a reason for this, it just is my favorite.
Also, this really proclaims my hatred of Zoey and Ellis as a couple the most out of any other video I've posted. I tolerate it as for those who ship it, however, I can not bring myself to like the couple myself.
Being a holiday song it surprisingly makes sense as to how I view EllisxZoey playing out if you followed the game's storyline.
I just don't get how Zoey and Ellis (as well as Francis and Rochelle) work out as a couple. So either they are set up to be quick loves, or VALVe needs to develop their characters further.
Anyway, here is wishing you guys a very happy holiday season, no matter what you celebrate, if you celebrate at all, but you all deserve a wonderful winter and I wish you all the happiness and wishes!!
STORY:
Naïve Ellis becomes lovestruck upon seeing another a pretty woman about his age, named Zoey, who can shoot a gun. He falls for her hard, and fantasizes about his romance with her. However, Zoey , rarely seeing the mechanic, does not return the feelings. She only sees him as a good guy, but only an acquittance, because as soon as she helps him along, he will be out of her life. Indeed, as the L4D2 crew leave in Gibb's car, she quickly moves on, knowing she would most likely never see him again, whether he or she survive or not. With Bill gone, she continues her own survival and gets extremely close with Francis and grows up. Ellis thinks otherwise, and holds on to her every memory, hoping to someday survive the zombies and find her again. However, as time passes, his faith slowly weakens, until one Christmas he realizes his memories of Zoey is all he will ever have of her. He realizes the truth that she does not remember him anymore. Heartbroken, he feels stupid for thinking he ever had a chance, and grimaces at the very thought of how he got a present for her for the occasion he'd find her for Christmas. He's even angry with Zoey for not seeing him as he did her. Ellis continues his remorse until Miku Hinasaki and Rei Kurosawa find their way to America to seek refuge from the raging apocalypse in Japan. After helping the women along the way, he finds Miku replacing Zoey in his heart, and as this Christmas rolls around, he realizes who really is the special person in his life.

How exciting it is to be part of this project! I defiantly felt a little press for time when I got back into school and I had projects spring up, but its done, and its beyond worth it.
If you can recall, this was a beta that I always wanted to complete. It isnt the the same in the slightest, especially since my computer has been wiped twice since then, but I tried the same coloring, and text-feel I did in the original. Better? Maybe not. But I feel accomplished.
How does this fit the foreign theme? Simple! Lets have a crash course: Miku Hinasaki is a Japanese citizen who has traveled to America to survive the zombie apocalypse that has run rampant in her homeland, and she meets Ellis, a Georgia native and simple mechanic. Neither share a language, but somehow their body language just keeps attracting them together. Its a love that has no barriers!
(OMG GUYZ IVE NEVER HAD THEM KISS IN A VIDEO BEFORE. STOP DA PRESSES!)
This video is from Elliss point of view, and I intended for how Ellis gets beaten down while chasing Miku to not be so literal, but rather how Ellis feels trying to get Mikus attention and affection. Almost until all hope is lost, finally, her eye is caught.
I just find this song so very fitting to these two, especially since Ellis is from the south, specifically Georgia (however Louisiana being the state with the greatest amount of those with Cajun ethnicity in America. Ive known of Cajuns all the way into Florida, though). And if I am not mistaken, Cajuns originally spoke French, and... lezbehonest, I dont see Ellis taking Spanish. And Miku being Japanese.... Oh, Jesse, you wrote this just for these people, didnt you? You are the true creator of the crack that is Miku and Ellis, arent you! And to think I was original.
Please ignore the fact that in the original Fatal Frame scenes she technically is seventeen and underage lol There is an abundance of scenes with her actually DOING things in the game she stars in, naturally. I mean, its an apocalypse, wheres the law now?!

I... I have no excuses for this. Just dont get your panties in a twist over this, this is a very unserious and self-aware video LOL
Why I wanted it to have a Silent-Hill-grunge-esque look is because its part of the joke. That it looks all dark and serious and would work for music more fitting to the game... but then this shit plays instead.
And if you think about it in the right perspective, this song is actually really fitting with James feelings for Maria/Mary and his conflicts with being interested in Maria because she is so similar in appearance to his late wife while still being curious by her new personality ALL WHILE still in love with Mary.
Okay, I dont make any sense. Just shut up and enjoy some good editing AND SOME FUCKING GANGSTA JAMES. YOU WORK IT, BOOOOI.
