Last Battalion is an X68000 shmup from Sting, who would later go on to make games like Evolution and Riviera. There's a PC Engine port called Override that's a bit different too.
This game has a very hilarious scoring bug present via the boss score bonus timer. When it hits zero, it rolls over to 9999990 and begins counting down from there, making it so that when you beat the first boss you can counter stop the score and get 20 lives to boot. As a result, 80% of this video is the bonus being added to my score! (Apologies for the aspect ratio, I forgot to set up XM6 right)
