Today, at Quanta Laser Labs, we’re going to talk about the 532-nanometer, frequency doubled, Nd-YAG Q-Switched laser.
Now that’s a mouthful, but understand that 532 wavelength is really going to be the wavelength that’s best suited to treat the red and orange spectrum. And in the tattoos that we see out there today, they’re no longer just simply a black tribal band around somebody’s arm but are really a rainbow of colors. If you want to be able to very effectively treat all colors, a key part of that is being able to treat the red and orange spectrum, and that 532 wavelength is really the only wavelength that you can effectively treat that spectrum.
When you’re looking at bringing tattoo removal into your clinic, you need to make sure that whatever device you have, it does have a 532.
