This was my entry into the Euskal Encounter 18 Wild Compo, a laser demo created with DIY hardware and software and fully rendered in real time. The demo is a joint effort between thEpOpE and I; he created the audio, introduced me to the art of demomaking, and guided me throughout the process. Without his help this would've just been two crappy effects with no audio :)
The framework is now open source and is called OpenLase. Check out marcansoft.com/openlase for more info!
Unfortunately, my laser scanner broke down soon after the projection. I finally got the parts to fix it, so I can finally upload a proper video.
Of course, the camera doesn't really do it justice (for example, at the beginning, instead of blooming greenish dots, imagine ridiculously bright sharp laser dots instead). The flickering is made worse by beating with the camera's shutter; it flickers a lot less in real life.
