Redondo Beach Police Department along with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau is seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect responsible for the attempted murder of two Redondo Beach Police Officers. The city of Redondo Beach is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for the crime.
On February 21, 2025, at 8:30 PM, Homicide Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to El Segundo Boulevard and Doty Avenue in the city of Hawthorne regarding an officer involved shooting investigation. Authorities identified Lester Castro as a suspect in the case and are searching for him. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
