The Crazy Cats, a Japanese musical-comedy group, were showcased a series of comic adventures throughout the 1960s. LAS VEGAS FREE-FOR-ALL (KUREJI OGON SAKUSEN, 1967), one of their most popular movies, featured scenes filmed on location in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. Appearing with the seven Cats (Hitoshi Ueki, Hajime Hana, Kei Tani, Senri Sakurai, Hiroshi Inuzuka, Shin Yasuda, Eitaro Ishibashi) were the lovely Mie Hama (YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, KING KONG VS. GODZILLA, WHAT'S UP TIGER LILY?) and such Japanese musical artists as The Peanuts (the twins from MOTHRA), The Johnnys, The Drifters, and Jackie Yoshikawa & the Blue Comets. Film historian Stuart Galbraith IV has referred to the Crazy Cats as "the greatest comedy team you've never heard of."
