Lars Brink was a Swedish theoretical physicist and Emeritus Professor at the Chalmers University of Technology. His research was primarily focused on elementary particle theory, especially in the attempts to unify all fundamental interactions. He was one of the pioneers of the superstring theory and had also been much involved in supersymmetric quantum field theories. He became a member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences in 1997 and served on its Nobel Committee for Physics in 2001, 2004 and from 2008 to 2013.

Lars Brink had been a close collaborator of World Scientific since its inception and provided invaluable support to its mission and scholarly activities. He was one of the managing editors of the International Journal of Modern Physics A (IJMPA) and Modern Physics Letters A (MPLA), and had since been involved in the journals and WSP’s other initiatives.

This video recorded the Memorial Meeting of Lars Brink, which was held on the 18th February 2023 via Zoom.
