Rickys 2002 album This Is The Life is one of the finest of his songwriting career and here is one of its standout tracks, My Girl Going To Town twinned with another gem of an album track from another of his career highpoints - Loves Great Fears (co-written with James Prime) from Deacon Blues debut album, Raintown. ![Larry Norman, Watch What Youre Doin [Live in the UK, 2001]
The classic song Watch What Youre Doin and concert favourite included here primarily due to the nice audio recording and performance. From Larrys final UK tour in August 2001 when he played Manchester, Liverpool, Wigan, Harpenden, Greenford, West Bromwich, Edinburgh and a special final concert in Belfast. ![Deacon Blue, Dignity [Live in Munich, June 1987]
Dignity, complete with the lyrics on the original 12 version of the song (March 1987), performed live in Munich the month after the Raintown album had been released. The 2012 reissue of Raintown on 3 CDs and 1 DVD comes complete with the original album version, the 1988 Bob Clearountain 7 and 12 versions, Dignity live at the Barrowlands in April 1988, and also live at the Marquee in 1986, as well as two of the music videos for the song. ![Ricky Ross In This World [live 2005]
I found an old video bootleg of Ricky Ross and Davey Scott doing a warm-up show just as the Pale Rider album was about to be released and they were about to go on tour. I messed around with a few filers on one of my favourite songs from the album and voila - heres the sublime In This World Ricky Ross In This World [live 2005]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/x-42PYx4f1U/mqdefault.jpg)

Bob Dylan cover - last song of a glorious night at the start of the Great Western Road Trip theatre tour. Deacon Blue, Forever Young [live at Edinburgh Usher Hall, 30th March 2025]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/yAo3hFUL_YI/mqdefault.jpg)

![Deacon Blue, Ashore [live at Edinburgh Usher Hall, 30th March 2025]
Co-written with Gregor Philp. The fifth song on The Great Western Road CD and tenth song of the night. I think we might have to journey back until 1989 to arrive at the previous time Ricky Ross last donned a Fender Telecaster on stage.
