In this video, Maxx continues the tradition of "Larptales From Beyond" by recounting a true story from years past at larp. It seems like if you larp long enough and spend enough time in the woods you start to gather tales of the unknown. And after 25+ years, Maxx seems to have several. If you have a scary tale, be sure to comment.
If any moral is to being taken from this tale, it's to be sure people know where you are and are going to, in case you get lost. Even though this story is somewhat eerie and creepy, if you remove those elements, this story could still be a nightmare if things didn't work out and search and rescue, law enforcement, etc had to be contacted. Be smart and communicate when you are larping.
*There's actually a lot more to dead reckoning navigation that I elude to in this story. I refer to it more loosely and just going by feel, even though that's only a small part. There is a lot more to it and if it is something that interests you, I suggest doing some research on it. It is a very useful thing to know how to do and to be able to determine position knowing only some variables whether it's on land, sea or air.
