We learn a mystery of Castle Grayskull by making some secrets of fortress in the abyss below ourselves. In this sixth video of the MOTU castle series we focus on cutting an access hole through the side of the castle tower to act as a secret passage way into the castle or will serve as the trap door into the dungeon. We sculpted our castle based off the design and look of Castle Grayskull in the early Alfredo Alcala Masters of the Universe comics and the original sculpt for the prototype by Mark Taylor. We started by framing the wood structure then attached white bead foam Styrofoam with Great Stuff expanding foam and have started carving the shape. Once the sculpture is finished the plan is to hard coat the giant skull with fiberglass. We will incorporate a few things he can do to interact his action figures with the castle. We may even try to make the interior based off the toy playset. The paint scheme will try to stay close to the original toy line from the 80s. We even thought adding an area like the evil Horde slime pit Masters of the Universe Mattel playset. That way he can play with ooze some where in the castle. We may even take a few inspirations from the He-Man animation and he-man and the masters of the universe tv program cartoon full episodes. Join us as we try to capture the true Spirit of Grayskull and solve all the many mysteries behind the making of this epic build.
