We have started the details on the exterior of the fire station façade and firehouse Ecto-1 door. This Ghostbusters playhouse has interior & furniture inspired from the Kenner 80's toys, Ghostbusters movies, and The Real Ghostbusters animated cartoon. This update video is focused on making of the Ghostbusters playhouse firehouse exterior trim parts, faux brick, and decorative molding pieces. We are drawing inspiration for the design of this extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. The fire stations have been a filming location for several other shows and movies but as the home base for the Ghostbusters what better fire station could you model from for a kids playhouse. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set, the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters, and the Kenner classics fire house images online. Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon. We will be posting a series of videos of all the construction update videos and details of how we make this playhouse. We are incorporating two cedar wood playsets for action features like slides, climbing wall, swings, monkey bars, rope, fireman's pole, and any other playground equipment we can find a great deal on.
