Large bird / Egret in full flight
Walking along the Tamagawa River in the Mitake Gorge I walked across a suspension bridge called Kamiji-bashi Bridge. As I filmed the scenic countryside a large bird - possibly an Egret - landed on the bridge. I was lucky enough to film the landing (in timelapse) and waited to film the bird (in slo-mo) as it flew away. I then walked down to the river and continued filming the bird using the slo-mo function of my iphone.
Riding on a train for about an hour and a half from the center of Tokyo, the Mitake Gorge is located in Chichibu Tama Kai National Park.
How to get to here:
1. Take the Chuo line train from Tokyo to Tachikawa.
2. Take the Ome line train from Tachikawa to Ome Station.
3. Staying on the Ome line get the local train to Oku-tama but get off at Mitake Station.
