I was invited to speak at TBEX (Travel Blog EXchange) in Vancouver, in front over over 500 people about my language learning techniques. It was my first time ever speaking publicly! Most of the audience are travel writers, and have been around the world but unfortunately most have never learned the local languages where they go.
